Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before she made her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was on a stunning three-fight winning streak in Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent right in the first round. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian, and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her in an unanimous decision. This put a black mark on Ladd's records as an amateur. Ladd bounced back from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta 11, she was able to slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen move up to Bantamweight after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to defeat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy with an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd was not able to gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round by TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was in UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina by grounding and pounding her to the ground, gaining the TKO in second round. When she next faced Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the opening round. Also, she was awarded an extra bonus for her performance that evening. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee She fought Sijara Eubanks in her debut fight. Ladd's win was a majority decision as well as the Fight of the Night award was awarded to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her win streak. After a short break her return to the ring and finished Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
