Richard B. Cheney has worked as a public official for many years and also is a successful businessman. He currently serves as the Vice President of the United States. Both Republicans and Democrats respect him for his honesty. Cheney believes his role as a member of his position in the Bush Administration is to be an open and discrete adviser. Cheney, who accepted the Republican vice-presidential nominating in 2007 stated that he was looking forward to serving under a president that will reach across the aisles and work with political rivals with goodwill and a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the father of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When Richard Bruce Cheney was 13 years old the family of Richard Bruce Cheney left Lincoln Nebraska and moved to Casper Wyoming which is where his father worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's regional soil conservation districts.
